MICHAEL HILL

Director

Michael Hill is a Managing Director and the Americas Head of the Sustainable Energy Group (SEG), focusing on direct private equity investments across the energy sector. Michael also serves as Head of CPPIB’s New York office.

Prior to joining the CPPIB in 2016, Michael spent 25 years in investment banking, including, most recently, as Head of M&A and Corporate Finance for Nomura Securities.

While at Nomura, Michael was a member of the Global Investment Banking Executive Committee and the America’s Operating and Capital Commitments Committees. Previously, Michael was Global Co-Head of Natural Resources at Deutsche Bank and held various positions at Morgan Stanley where he started his career in 1989. He has worked in New York, London, and Toronto.

Michael sits on the Boards of Wolf Midstream, Nephin Energy, and Encino Energy. He holds an HBA from Ivey Business School, where he is also a Board member, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

BOB LOCK

Chief Executive Officer and Director

Bob joined Wolf in 2017 and has played a vital role in the operations and development of the organization as President of the Pipeline business unit and originator of Wolf’s NGL business. Prior to joining Wolf, Bob was broadly responsible for all aspects of the commercial and physical operations for Pembina’s Natural Gas Liquids business, including operations, business development, engineering, project execution, marketing, strategic planning and financial performance. Bob has 29 years of experience in energy infrastructure origination, operations and commerce. Prior to Pembina, he held progressively senior roles with Provident Energy, Encana, PanCanadian and NOVA Corporation. Bob holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta, an MBA from the University of Calgary and a professional engineering designation in the province of Alberta.

GREGORY LOHNES

Director

Greg joined the Wolf board in 2016. He is an independent board member on the Governance & Compensation Committee and he chairs the Environment, Health and Safety Committee. Greg retired in 2014 after 20 years in senior executive roles with a large Canadian energy infrastructure company working in Canada, the USA and Mexico. Prior, Greg had also held a number of other management positions in the areas of law, finance, pipelines, midstream and international.

Greg holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Calgary.

ROBERT MELLEMA

Director

Robert Mellema is a Senior Principal in the Energy & Resources Group at CPP Investments, based in Toronto. Since joining CPP Investments in 2008, he has been involved in evaluating investment opportunities across a broad range of sectors including financial services, building products, business services, hospitality and consumer products as a member of the Direct Private Equity Group. Since dedicating his time more fully to E&R, Robert has played an integral role in many important investments in upstream oil and gas and energy infrastructure including Teine Energy, Seven Generation Energy, Black Swan Energy, Wolf Midstream, and Ohio Valley Midstream. He is a member of CPP Investments’ Sustainable Investing Committee and serves on the boards of Black Swan Energy and Ohio Valley Midstream. Prior to joining CPP Investments, Robert worked at the Boston Consulting Group and at UBS on the Canadian Mergers & Acquisitions Team in Toronto and the Leisure sector team in London.

Robert holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Palmer Scholar and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University, where he graduated with First Class honours.

PATRICIA NEWSON

Director

Patricia Newson joined the Wolf Midstream Board of Directors in 2016 and chairs the Audit Committee. She retired in 2011 from AltaGas Ltd. as President of the Utility Division and was previously President and CEO of AltaGas Utility Group Inc. from 2005 to 2009, and Senior Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of AltaGas Income Trust from 1996 to 2006.

Her previous board experience includes Pattern Energy Group Inc., Brookfield Asset Management Inc., Brookfield Residential Properties Inc., AltaGas Utility Group Inc., Long Run Exploration Inc., Guide Exploration Inc., Heritage Gas Limited, Inuvik Gas Ltd., Canadian Gas Association, Alberta Electric System Operator, and Quality Urban Energy Systems of Tomorrow (QUEST). Patricia is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

DAVID SCHMUNK

Chief Development Officer and Director

Prior to founding Wolf, David Schmunk was founder, principal and, COO of Mistral Energy Inc. David has also held positions with Taylor NGL Limited Partnership (COO) and, TransCanada Pipelines, where he served as Vice President Operations in addition to other engineering roles involved in the design, construction, commissioning and operation of gas plants in Western Canada. David has overseen multi-million-dollar pipeline and gas plant expansions and has been responsible for the execution of all aspects of regulatory, public consultation, engineering, operations, and administration for the projects.

David holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan (1982), and a professional engineering designation in the province of Alberta.

ANDREW WISWELL

Chair of the Board

Andrew Wiswell joined the Wolf Midstream Board of Directors in 2017. Prior to his retirement in 2012, Mr. Wiswell served as President, CEO and director of NAL Energy Corporation. Throughout his career, he has been engaged in executive level business and financial roles and directorships in public companies including President, CEO and director of Parkland Industries, President of ICG Propane, Vice President of Marketing and subsequently Senior Vice President and CFO of Gulf Canada Corporation.

Andrew serves on the boards of Total Energy Services and Mancal Corporation. He received the Ivey Leadership Award in 2011 from Ivey School of Business for exceptional leadership in business and the Calgary community. Andrew is involved in many volunteer and non-profit organizations including the advisory board of the Ivey School of Business, the board of the Calgary chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors and the United Way of Calgary. Andrew is a past Chair of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers Board of Directors.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Manitoba, a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario Ivey School of Business and an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

ALICE YANG

Director

Alice Yang is a Principal in the Energy & Resources Group at CPP Investments, based in New York. Since joining CPP Investments in April 2016, Alice has been closely involved with several of Energy & Resources’ majority-controlled portfolio companies including Wolf Midstream, Encino Acquisition Partners and Crestone Peak Resources. Alice brings strong transaction execution capability including leading CPP Investments’ internal process for two of Wolf’s transactions – the acquisition of MEG’s ownership interest in Access Pipeline and the investment in ACTL.

Prior to joining CPP Investments, Alice spent seven years in investment banking at BMO Capital Markets and TD Securities in both Calgary and Toronto. Alice holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo and is a CFA charter holder.
